It wasn't even a foul. Been struggling to understand the opinions on this these last few days. This is a step in the right direction. To make things properly just, bring the guy who faked injury and successfully conned the referee before the panel. If one of our players is reckless, if they endanger the opposition, then they rightly deserve punishment. This was an honest tackle by an honest bloke who made that tackle because he knew he wouldn't endanger the opposition. And kudos for the dignity with which you left the field of play too Mowatt. A guy feigned injury, another two were spoiling for a fight, a referee wrongly sent you from the game and you just cooly walked away. Impressive that mate.
They sometimes REACH for a card, when they're not BRANDISHING or DISHING. That aside, I'd feel sorry for Mowatt, if the International Break wasn't coming up. How does the poor bugger get a rest?

I said it in the match thread but absolute credit to Alex for his reaction. I think a couple of years ago he would have kicked off which I think would probably have hindered our appeal. He kept a cool head and accepted that it happened. Immediately took his armband off and quietly went down the tunnel.
Alfie can’t do stairs & we live in the quirkiest old cottage. Moving house soon. I have to decide whether to take him with me or let him go peacefully.
