Personally, I only want the club to tell me anything when there is something relevant to say and they don't have to comment on every issue raised in the press/social media just cos some on here demand otherwise.
I agree to an extent but I've always thought it is good for the chairman or CEO or whoever to regularly communicate with fans. Not specifically addressing any complaints or issues but just writing anything at all really. Their opinion on something specific they want to write about, just an update on what's happening around the club randomly or even just something more generally football related. It's just nice to hear from them as it creates more of a connection. It's no different to how the manager has always had a page in the programme as far back as I can remember. Now as for our owners, imo they should definitely be growing some balls and explaining their behaviour but I don't blame that in Dane at all.
Better than his two programme columns. It's refreshing to see the club being so open about Brown, the striker we missed out on and Covid 19. It sounds like he expects Struber to be off. It was interesting we would double Brown's wages but Stoke probably doubled that amount too.
Was just thinking along similar lines when I read this. Some clubs (not naming names, Bristol City) will plunge crazy amounts of money into fancy radio advertisements and cringey billboards across the city, but no way are their fans kept as up to speed. Also, how many club representatives up and down the country would go out of their way to call a fan two hours before kick off from the back of a car on the way to Loftus Road, first game back since lockdown, to scroll through thousands on a spreadsheet to ensure they get the code and see the match - you're a credit to the club mate.
Great update, that. I really like Dane. Always comes across as articulate and intelligent* and his statements always feel like they actually provide information and are not just there for the sake of it. *I originally put “for an American” here, but my American wife saw me typing and slapped me with this week’s program, so I took that out. Putting it here is a loophole because I didn’t actually say it.
If he doesnt talk he gets pilloried. If he apologises he gets pilloried. If he does talk he gets pilloried. If he tries to be honest he gets pilloried. Well done you and a few others for coming out in defence of the guy. Seems to me like he wants the best for the club in these **** times. Well done Dane.
Haha. Great times. Felt like me and Clarky had spoken to every fan personally on that journey. And then... The EFL fúcked up and fans missed our goal Thanks for the kind words. We're working for you, not against you.
You seem to devote a lot of effort to following me round the board replying to my posts with insults. If I were you I'd cheer up a bit, it must get you down being so negative
Why not order online? Genuine question, not a criticism. I know individual copies will rack up shipping fees, but you won’t have to drive to the stadium. I know you mentioned not wanting to get a subscription because when we’re back at oakwell you want one at the ground, but I think a half season subscription is probably safe at this point?
Honestly I just never got round to it at first because I needed to go into Barnsley anyway so was going to call in but forgot and now it seems a bit late to get a half subscription
Fair enough. I assume a full subscription at least would include both existing issues, but I have no idea how a half would work. Whether it’s 12 games from now or what
It’s hard not to spot you when you comment on EVERY post there is!!! Negativity.......ok flower, you keep on believing that..........have a nice day x
