[Official Site] Club Statement: Barry Taylor

Occook, obiousley you don't now Barry Taylor, but please tell me when Barry as put his hand in his pocket to help the club, I know Barry very well and known him for 30 years and Barry a nice fellow but would not part with the reek of his own *****. He as been a good help for Mr Cryne attending league meeting etc. I think you'll find that Barry as took more from Barnsley fc than he as ever gave but good look to him I have already wished him well in his future he's still a life member of the football club and he's not going away just yet.

 

Isn’t it common knowledge that Barry re-mortgaged his own house to provide the club with funds to sign a player?

That's a new one on me Mapp, I don't think that's right, but if it is were where did this rumour come from? Another thing I know his wife and she would not go along with anything like that,

 

I’ve read it on here on a fair few occasions and on Twitter as recently as today. Presumably it’s in John Dennis’ book, I’m not sure though, just repeating what I’ve read.

All said and done, he's been a great asset to the club and a loyal fan and member throughout. He deserves to enjoy his retirement, but I'm sure we'll still be seeing him at Oakwell plenty,.
