There isn't one. Clearly. Just a load of ********. My heart is bleeding over this crass posturing & the disregard for fans. Conway & co have just shown their arse in a phenomenal fashion. My mind set towards them has changed massively in the least 24 hours.

 

Of course you're right "if" but now we're getting BFC commenting on the council statement like the council were calling out BFC statement.

As far as I can tell there is no legal requirement to close the west stand. The club have not said that there is, and the council play the biggest part in determining these things, and they've issued a statement saying that if the west stand is closed, it's nothing to do with them.

So I do know summat.

 

Why would they get another assessment done? It's the kind of thing where you desperately hope it will pass like a car's MOT or a school's OFSTED visit. No one takes their old car that's just passed an MOT and decides to take it to another garage the next day and get another one done or invites the inspectors back in after receiving a pleasing judgement. You grit your teeth and hope to **** that all goes well and sigh with relief once it's over with.

The key message I get from this is 'we think it's perfectly fine to not bother to update supporters for at least another two weeks, while we continue to play silly buggers on this pathetic dispute.'

Also, nothing remotely to address the obvious link (clearly a huge coincidence) that closing the West Stand miraculously coincided with an increased allocation being provided to Sheff Utd fans.

Pathetic, embarrassing and done with a new CEO in place, so as a first impression of his capabilities at the helm he's undone the optimism I had from his CV.

We're firmly back into 21-word statement territory now in terms of my attitude towards the ownership. They'd earned themselves a bit of leeway with seemingly improved decision-making last season, particularly in terms of transfer policy, but it didn't take long for them to regress back to the mean.
