I'd like to know why Parekh sold shares to Chien Lee to strengthen his position? Is Chien Lee happy to carry on investing and it was Paul Conway (alone) who was the miser? I've mentioned it before in every interview Chien Lee did he mentioned strengthening the portfolio with investment where it's needed most. I sort of got the idea he is/ was a good guy and shouldn't be tarred with the same brush as Conway. Maybe that could be cleared up.
Possibly Helen, just seems to be taking longer for them to receive what they are owed. Surprised PC didn't put in penalty clauses for late or missed payments, such as converting payments owing, into shareholding. For example, 5% transference of shares to Oakwell Holdings (Cryne family), for every half million missed. I think the Investment group have been left off lightly, since purchasing the club.
It wasn’t a hostile takeover though. Patrick needed to sell the club and his family, whilst they clearly want to help continue his legacy, don’t want to be owners of the club, just to guide its future. (Just my opinion, I’m not itk) There’s no benefit to the club in it going back to the Crynes unless they can try to sell it to a different type of owner next time. But that relies on someone wanting to buy us.
Im getting sick of hearing about the lot of them now, and I don't believe or trust any of them. And this January has got one thing written all over it... another huge cheap fire sale at Oakwell. So come and grab a bargain because we desperately need the money, players and coaches and tea ladies and toilet cleaners are all available for sale.
No I don't, thats the worrying thing, they are surely telling the truth there. They said they will support Michael in January if its looking like a good season, and if he needs to strengthen the team. But I don't believe that, and although I was being sarcy about the fire sale thing, it worries me that it will happen yet again.
