German has three, masculine, feminine and neuter. Strangely I got better German GCSE results than I did in English.
I grew up just a few miles from the German border. Dropped the language from my classes as soon as I had a choice. I get by quite well on holidays or conversations. Understanding is obviously easier than speaking it. But to do it correctly with all their insane grammar? I'd fail miserably. Not a surprise given this table:
