    Yeah he looked way out of his depth the few times we played him last season. The forest game at Oakwell where he beat 3 men and smashed it into the bottom corner from 20 yards. Rubbish.

    Very harsh. From what I’ve seen of Hedges I believe he has what it takes to become a decent player. IMO he wasn’t given a proper chance in the side, he seemed to get a game and then wasn’t played for weeks/months.

    Yes fair enough Hedges, I like to hear you saying that.
    BUT, I want to see you also showing it out on the pitch for 70 odd minutes at least, rather than flopping when starting a match and proving to be just a second half pony.

    At the start of last season, he was one of (if not the) best performing players we had. But he could only do it off the bench so hopefully this season he can do it from a starting place.

    I must admit I really like watching him glide past players when dribbling, not sure if he’s got the pressing game (gegenpress is it?) in his locker though.

    Kinda agree with this, he had a fair few decent cameos coming on for 20/25 minutes but was often poor when he started games. Let's see how he does this season but definitely needs to show more if he's going to be starting matches.

    It would help if he started more than one or two games in a row though. And all our wingers looked poor last season because we had one little man up front on his own

    Well from the training pictures it looks like he’s got the number 7 shirt so seems like he’ll at least get a prolonged chance this season.

    Reckon he’ll be brilliant this season. Was quite the jump up from L2 to championship and at times he looked brilliant. Young lad, international squad for wales, and also a great ambassador for our club.

    Hopefully we can (most of us) get right behind the lads this year.

    We all know he’s inconsistent & performed better off the bench but surely everyone can see he’s a young lad with lots of potential?

    It baffled me why he wasn’t on the bench more under Morais when he was ideal for the left side of a front 3
