Helliwell played 3 minutes in the checkatrade trophy 4 years ago and is now back in the under 23s and Jordan Smith is a keeper who we had on an emergency one week loan after Walton got injured in, funnily enough, the same checkatrade match.
Barnsley legend is Smithy. One appearance, one clean sheet, three points. We went up by three points. Accrington away. The tightest press box known to man. I'm three stone heavier four years down the line, I hope we stay up.
One of the best away days ever, despite our bus breaking down on the way in. Accrington away will be one of very few saving graces of going down. But then I won't have to endure it from the Press Box
Sounds like something from a Hammer horror movie. Bloke does a spot of black magic and gets eternal life, but has to keep reinventing himself as his grandson in order to allay suspicion.
1100 - Istvan Ferenczi 1200 - Toni Silva 1300 - Matty James Working through the 100s from him and beyond isn't a great list of names Ferenczi aside.
That’s very impressive. Congratulations to all involved. The videos should be compulsory viewing for anyone who has stepped over the threshold for more than one year to judge their ‘emotional attachment’. Excellent.
This is brilliant and I would have never got the answer right. How many players made their Barnsley debuts between Marlon, Marlon, Marlon and Jason, Jason, Jason? 35.
Good read was that. First name I recognised was Banger at 810, but most of the first team I watched arrive around 856 onwards. Didn't realise until today that Banks joined so long before the others!
Wow interesting looking at the names, especially the 35 years or so I’ve been watching, some names I cannot remember Pirri ? Who ? There are some names I’d sooner forget and some who were poor who have gone on to bigger things, Chris Wood Jon Walters for starters.
I think Owen Archdeacon is the lowest numbered player I've seen play for us. Just thought I'd share that.
I hope so. And I'm hoping that minutes before kick-off, the appearance of a dozen former players, many heroes, legends etc will help gee up the crowd ahead of a big game.
At least I can look back fondly on my memories of Archdeacon. Some poor young sods will be looking at that last and remembering Brek Shea as their lowest numbered player
