    The only problem I see with loyalty points is in a few seasons if like other clubs the carry over and add up over the years.

    I could spend the next 5 years getting a season ticket and going to every home game building up points and then stop going . But in a few years I would still have more points and right to tickets over someone who hasn’t missed a resent match for 2 years.

    A Sheff united fan at work can get first choice on Away tickets if he he wants and sometime does despite hardly ever going to Away games. I always tell him it’s unfair on the fans who go home and away every week now

    That's one way of looking at it. The fan who just wants some money off games will argue you are going to 7 games and paying full price for 7 though.

    Doesn't really affect me, but you shouldn't need to buy your way into a loyalty scheme. If Tesco tried it, we'd all **** off to Asda.

    They should be like quite a few loyalty schemes used by Airlines or Hotels - points laps after 2 years - that would prevent the situation you describe above

    Points Mean Prizes

    At the end of the 2019/20 season, all points will be reset.

    However, all points that have been accrued throughout that season will relate to a specific offer, event, experience or item.

    Above indicates points only accrued in the season can be used in that season? If any left you exchange them for something?

    They didn't say that in the video. It would be odd not to mention such a benefit. If there is a per game discount as well that would be a game changer for me.

    Actually just realised I read it as part of an answer to questions from a member of club staff on Facebook:

    Reds Pride is best for those who cannot or don't want to commit to a season ticket. They save £1 per game on regular priced match tickets. When they've bought for 6 games the 7th game is free (therefore recouping the initial cost of the membership). They will have membership benefits and access to high priority tickets above general sale. Of course this is a massive improvement as at present you could pay in match by match for all 23 games and still have to wait for general sale. This way you're rewarded for each game you attend with loyalty points and a discount.

    Reds Reserved is pretty much a standard season ticket and is priced at this season's pricing, no increase. This is the best option for those who just want to attend all 23 home league games and never buy additional tickets. Of course they still get loyalty points and Reds Reserved member benefits (competitions, spot prizes, events etc).

    Reds Reserved+ combines both the above.It's ideal for those who want a season ticket but also buy additional tickets (home or away). If they have a family member for example who comes along several times a year but doesn't want their own membership. A Reds Reserved+ member will receive the £1 reduction on home league game tickets they purchase extra and the 7th game free ticket. Of course they also get additional loyalty points to start with and can accrue more with each ticket purchase they make.

    Basically there's something for every fan. Whether you're a never miss a game home or away fan or the attend when I can fan. We're all one family and we can all be rewarded for our loyalty. It's a system designed to encompass all fans. None of this 'plastic fan' or 'armchair fan' nonsense. We're all in it together and will all be rewarded and treated fairly. The more games you attend the higher your loyalty point level will be.

    I didn't do this subject on my MBA so im not sure what it means but I do know I might be better downgrading. I am no longer a 'real fan premium level customer'

    Im awaiting the Car Park seasonal membership loyalty scheme. I hear its:-

    Fiesta status - Pay as you park, 8th stay gets a free car parking on the 8th game first half only. £10 extra with a 9.99 discount voucher

    Mondeo status - Parking seasonal ticket for all games. Get to leave 10 mins after kick off (well actually 30 mins) and they will leave the lights on especially. Parking management not included. Bucket and Water provided if you want to wash it at half time.

    Jaguar BMW Status - Seasonal membership Plus £20 and get parking all season, free parking next to the hook a duck stand on the fair days, get out 10 mins from kick off or at the point of the final free kick awarded. To simplify this is when the referee awards a valid free kick and has to be confirmed by TV replays. An extrat 10,000 loyalty points for the Co-Op that can transfer to the club points (club TBD). BMW level get a free Daniel Stendel signed air freshener. Jaguar members a free iFollow uninterrupted match pass (when it has been developed)

    One thing I hope they will think of - will supporters at different categories of 'loyal' still be able to easily get away tickets to sit with friends who don't meet the same category?

    I.e. will you be able to buy two or three tickets with your loyal level if your pals aren't eligible for them so you aren't sat on your todd?

    This isn't an attractive proposition to me as a match by match home only fan. I will basically save £6 over the course of 7 games. Ticket priority doesn't really mean anything to me, I don't travel away these days. The bundle reminds me of those packaged bank accounts which you pay a fee for. If they are filled with things which you don't need or use, they aren't a benefit

    On a serious note I do have issues wth this. Why not just have a mini season ticket (9 for the price of 8), season ticket, and Season Ticket+ with priority away tickets. All the additional 'event' stuff to bring people closer to the club works both ways. It offers something (worthwhile or not) to those that have ready and available money to spend as soon as possible. This isn't loyalty. It also pushes people with less available cash further back in the engagement with the club face to face and on media. Details read as if most 'benefits' are actually events of which have been paid for as part of the membership. The scheme looks complex, difficult to understand and I'm sure difficult to administer, unclear and try's to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
