Is there any precedent to challenge this if it is Leigh. Unlikely he'd feature against us and Ipswich are taking the pīss, simply stacking up our games in hand, knowing it will probably take its toll.

This whole games off because of internationals is a complete joke and I include the Premier league in that. They have big enough squads to field second string teams in cup games so why can’t they do that when internationals are on? Lower down the scale the impact is much less but, again, they should have enough in the squad to cope.

Id be sorry to lose Connell for even one game but other players can plug the gap. The fact that Saturday games are cancelled and moved to midweek is scandalous and, as ever, it’s the fans that suffer

No chance of challenging it. If he's their player and called up, it doesn't matter if he was getting in the team or not.

If anyone is only in a preliminary squad (read somewhere that Egypt tend to pick those, with Morsy, then leave him out of the final squad), and ultimately doesn't report for international duty, then that would be something we could challenge. Doubt we will. Duff tends to just get on with it from what I can see.

The powers that be should scrap international breaks. Makes a mockery of the game, & it would be more beneficial to international football in the long run anyway if clubs have to give younger players chance to get game time.

Great stuff. Never heard of half the midfielders in that squad but if they’re better than Luca then they must be bloody good.

I'm quite happy that it has been postponed really. Having key game after key game, it does indeed give us a chance to re-charge that weekend, especially after a local derby.

I wonder why he wasn't picked for the under 21s when he's getting better as the season goes on. He's 21 so not technically under 21, but you don't need to be.

It's not stacking them up though is it? After the Exeter game we will both have 9 left. All its done is give us a weeks breather now and slotting it in later in the season. I'd rather play them between Oxford (h) and MK Don's (a) then after the Wycombe / Wednesday week when Ipswich don't have a game. From that perspective I'm not unhappy about it tbh......

Fair point. Swings and roundabouts, take each game as they come, we'll probably have to best them all at some stage to go up anyway.
