I seem to think the last player we had who came through the Chelsea academy was Ugbo, I think , hope this lad is better !
You could be right with Collins, although I do not know if he came through their academy or not but I like him
i put the quote up THEN checked the facts ( like a lot of posters on here hehe) but he did come through their acadamy, ok its different for 'keepers i admit but i'm not going to judge him until he's got a few games under his belt, BUT could he be lining up as mowatts replacement come january ?
Hopefully Mowatt will still be here, Struber wants experience so why get rid of our most experienced championship player ?
because sadly with experience comes age, i'd like to see am get another extention because i rate him ( even though he is only the 2nd best player to come out of don valley high school). he likes it here, he likes going home every night and switching off, he's apparently a bit of a home boy and lives very near his parents, so here leeds donny suits
Gerhard said he needed players that are ready in the first second - so having not played any competitive football - Issac obviously doesn’t fit into that category. I’m expecting him to be at the club a length of time before he gets a chance to play in the first team. But that length of time depends on how good he is and how quickly he is able to fit into the team. We might not see him this season - then again he might be on the bench in the next few weeks.
just watched the highlights from the EFL game against Villa and he was at the centre of each attack with an eye for a pass, I can see the comparison with Anderson De Silva with his physique can't wait to see him in a Reds shirt!!
I would imagine Gerhard meant mentally ready with the attitude and experience of first team football rather than the match fitness which isn’t that long imo .
He is I believe only 26 , so he is still young & has not reached his best years yet, hopefully he is with us for the foreseeable future
