In Doug we trust, folk will still quote the Stoke rag fee though - they still quote £2m for Moore.

And there's a very easy way to clarify it and stop fans from believing a low figure if Paul conway and his mates want to.

If I was cleverer than I am I’d do a poll on here to as whether the majority are still frustrated with the “undisclosed fee” - I most certainly am not and equally believe that when clubs (selling and buying) state fees they’re usually inaccurate.

Both clubs have to agree, what if they don't want it disclosing?

Struggling with your assessment on this one mate.

Re-signing Lundwig clearly makes us stronger as he's a player who's getting better and better all the time. He knows what Struber expects, knows the demands of the Championship, and knows his next season is at Oakwell. You'd confidently say that the Lundwig we have now is better than the Lundwig we signed in January?

The squad will clearly be stronger for more time with Struber on the training pitch. That much was obvious during the lockdown games so you would hope we'll only get better on that front. We've then added a midfielder with a right foot - we don't know how good he will be or won't be, but he's made the squad stronger straight away in my opinion. Add in the new defender who looks promising and adds to the squad.

Frieser for Brown is the one which is impossible to argue. On one hand you're right in that Brown was involved in 20% of our goals. On the other hand you could argue there were c. 30 games where he played and wasn't involved in a goal, which just isn't good enough for a forward player if we're looking to kick on.

    It's a fair point - I get what you're saying.

I guess I'm just more comfortable knowing the ability of one of our players, who at just 22 and with a full year of championship experience behind him can only improve, than an unknown quantity who may or may not be any good.

I take your point about the whole squad being together under Struber longer - but that would have happened whether or not Brown had gone.

Hopefully Frieser proves me wrong and is an immediate upgrade on Brown.

It also may indicate that Woodrow is going to go back up top - which can only be a positive too in my book.

The undisclosed fee policy was not invented by Conway as you well know, it has been standard practice at the club for many years

But why would he advertise how much "more" he's got to all the other clubs. Don't understand this we need to know how much we've got for players. If we know then everyone else knows! If the other clubs know how much we've got to spend, the price of the players we want to buy goes up! It's simple supply and demand economics!

Tbf 'undisclosed fee' is a Barnsley tradition. Hardly fair to pin that one on Conway

Most clubs do it now anyway, it's not just a Barnsley tradition
