Your last point is correct, it is an out of the norm situation right now, but I'd still personally jump at the chance of a four month working placement in the Czech Republic. He's also not been sent there today if you read the article and has been over there prior to all of the Ukraine issues kicking off. He's not in any more danger at all over the next four months. The comments about him moving on his own suggest that the club he's signing for won't be supporting him and nor will his teammates (plus I bet Bobby is on the phone all the time). Brilliant move for the lad and I'm excited seeing us trying to develop our young talent in a more innovative way than previous eras.
I hope he’s got an exceptionally strong character at 19 years of age in these crazy exceptional times.
One of the significant but largely ignored bonuses of being a footballer is you can work almost anywhere on the globe, even having your hand held by the club in terms of personal matters. I think I'd be playing in a different country every year. I'd know "Sorry; it bobbled as I hit it" in forty languages.
Post of the year. We all need some Half Man Half Biscuit (or whatever floats your boat to make you smile and temporarily forget your woes) to cheer us up in times like these. Incidentally, new album this week. I’d say Carlton Morris is proving to be the Track 6 we’ve been looking for.
