That’s a ridiculous statement and shows how much out of touch they are with the fans . We had a party for Daniel because of how they tried to spin his leaving and it would have been nice to say Tar ra and thanks to Killy . Maybe the Supporters Trust could Contact him and relay our best wishes from the fans not the club .
"We stupidly agreed to a deal whereby one of our better performers could be recalled on the last day of the same transfer window we signed him in. Rather than admit our **** up has left us with only 2 weeks to sign a replacement (and limited to the domestic market) we'll pretend it was our decision to send him back." F*ck off Dane, we're not thick.
Is there any chance we've upset Red Bull in the Struber negotiations? Most odd that a club happy to loan us a player for a second time, one that we liked and valued just weeks ago, then go on to recall his loan to then immediately loan him out just days after our coach throws a wobbly in the press about our ambition.
Why lie in the statement? We understand that Schalke will have come in and we didn't have a choice. We're not stupid.
I think due to the clubs inconsistency I am going out on a season long loan to another club. Dare I go to the club 5 min from where I live.
Said it in the other long Ludewig thread but I’ll say it again here. I don’t think he has been particularly great this season, especially at Reading where I’d argue he cost us that game. However, we’re still very early into the season and there’s no doubt in my mind that he would’ve got his level back up to what it was last season. Which was excellent. I’m not sure why the statement couldn’t have just said that we’re allowing him to go back so that he could complete a permanent move to a big German side? We all know it and would anyone really begrudge that? I know we’re all annoyed at the situation but it’s a massive opportunity for him and hopefully he’ll take it. Good luck Killian.
Wow, they must think we are sooooo stupid. Quality player gone to a bigger club, thank u luddy top lad. Btw message to the board, stop lying to your fan base....you need to repair the damage with your fans not talk rubbish.
Not just that but it's made them look really stupid. Had they said that they had no choice we would have been unhappy at the situation but accepted it; instead, they are saying that they purposefully got rid of him and have intentionally weakened our team because they think he's not good enough.
I think they're embarrassed at the negligence of having agreed a loan deal on terms where the player can be recalled in the very same window, on deadline day.
I might... MIGHT just have believed it if Dane said "We've an exciting addition coming in to replace Kylian who we believe will suit us more". But even if it's true, letting a lad who's played near every game and looked one of the only players comfortable at this level by our own choice, admitting we're going to 'look at' a permanent replacement is ludicrous incompetence. The fact he's employed by Red Bull is more likely the motive behind this.
I see many of us will call BS on the reason for him leaving us. Instead of calling him inconsistent when he's still one of our better players this season and four league games is far too early to judge after how he played for us last season, just admit he had a recall clause in his contract.
