I was pointing out what the manager had available to him at the start of the season.

 

To be fair we've never really improved defensively all season no matter who played.

 

I've no doubt the stats you've quoted are correct. You wouldn't have posted otherwise. I was merely trying to suggest that stats don't tell the whole story. Have you got any comparable stats for the last 10 games? Goals conceded? I wouldn't know what they are as I've not looked, but they wouldn't tell the whole story either. My observations of the team have led me to the conclusion that the football under Collins was dreadful and, at some point, he had to go. That was my underlying point. You probably disagree with me which is fair enough of course if you do....

 

You won't see much improvement unless you sign proven defenders to replace lower league players...tbf I accept they tried with Pines and dropped unlucky.

 

I do disagree - but everyone has a right to an opinion.

I'm not saying that Collins is the second coming of Shankly, just that sacking someone whilst we're in the playoff places with one game left is madness to me.

Reading statement it doesn’t mention search for new boss , so wonder if they’ve got one lined up already
