Again it's completely ignoring how bad the league is and that while people may slag off our squad its much better than most of this league has available
Yeah I get all those things, but not really relevant to my point. Simple point I'm trying to make, is that all things considered, any manager finishing top two would be considered a good appointment. and at 33 games in he was well on track for that. Of course people have formed a different opinion now. The 12 games that followed have been shambolic. I vividly remember how many of our fans mocked Wednesday fans mercilessly last season, when they were on for top 2 but were calling for his head. People have short memories. FWIW before a ball was kicked this season, I said if he doesn't finish top 6 he has to go. Actually I now think he should only keep his job if he gets us promoted. And even then I'm in this really weird position that even if he manages to pull off some kind of miracle and get us promoted, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make it to Christmas. So I'm definitely no Collins fan boy.
Tend to agree, but might depend on how the POs actually go. If we get hammered I think they could still pull the trigger. There would certainly be huge fan pressure for them to.
The league is bad...is purely your opinion, don't forget though other teams have some very good players...Blackpool for instance have found that Dembele kid, they also have Rhodes and Byers...all three would walk into our team.
And that's why we lost against them three times. What people seem to be forgetting is that they're saying the league isn't bad because Portsmouth or derby or whatever are good. Thing is we aren't above them, it's the 15 absolute dross teams below us that are awful
No just an opinion. If they think it's toxic now and they decide to keep Collins then they better be prepared for the level of toxicity that will be directed at them next year
He's simply not the man to take us forward, regardless of what happens this season. His football is dire, even when we were getting the results I was bored watching us. Even if we are promoted, we need to change manager.
I thought at the time why are we appointing a head coach from the USA league when we cried out for somebody the previous season and Duff was appointed. We needed somebody with EFL league experience and N, Collins with no EFL managerial experience was appointed at the ladt minute
That's kind of what I meant. At the moment the blame has been on Collins but if they make the decision to keep him then the blame lies squarely with them and that's why I think it will become toxic towards the board
