Safe standing is rails and allocated areas. Doesn't mean it has to be the existing seats. Can be redone to create enough space for the standing area to be a good space to be in.

Still prefer a proper terrace with a safe capacity, like they still have in rugby stadiums. Was stood in sold out terraces a few times last season, all far more comfortable than my experience at Old Trafford's safe standing.

Yes. They're just seats with a rail in front of em really. Hence the name 'rail seating'

Concrete steps won't change they just have to remove the seats

    Should those who want:-
A fanzone Pay for it. ?
A kids club. Pay for it. It's going with the times. And many will want to use it. Not just those who stand at the mo.
The majority that bought tickets in that section in my view chose to stand. It applies at most all seater stadia. .

They will probably go with this section, standing at the bottom left will obstruct the disabled stand, an absolute terrible location for disabled supporters in the first place - the view for them is terrible when people are sat down.

Those who want a fan zone do pay for it don't they? Pretty sure they don't hand out the products free of charge.
Kids clubs are completely different and you know it. It's an investment in the kids who will support us for life.

Spending a lot of money to introduce a standing area in the Ponty because a few hundred have got the club threatened with ground closures by refusing to sit down isn't the same thing.

For me it shouldn't happen until a west stand is built and it should be in there. It's the most cost effective way of doing it. And the west stand should be done this summer.

Having said all that, my post about them paying more wasn't entirely serious

The disabled viewing points at oakwell are another reason the west stand needs rebuilding. The back row of the lower tier in a rebuilt stand is perfect for disabled fans

About time we did this. Great that finally we have taken on board the comments of many fans. Think I’m too old to stand these days but hopefully it will improve the atmosphere

The cost will be minimal compared to a new west stand. That is probably occupied by less season ticket holders than want to stand imo. So is going to get spruced up. And will be considered as and when necessary. It's not top of the list to have a new one in the near future. Other affordable projects are. Why are you hell bent on spending a fortune when at the mo it's not needed other than what I've mentioned and the club on numerous occasions.
An all weather fan zone with heating, tv's other facilities etc. is also on the list. Pay back will take years. So requires an investment to build.
Re the kids zone. I'm all for it. And for it to be funded via season tickets sponsorship etc.

With that, those to the right of your box have got no hope of seeing the corner flag.

The only possible way of doing it is to make the entire back few rows standing.

I’ve actually said for years that’s exactly what they should do! Nowt daft, just an extra couple of quid a game, or an extra £25 for an ST. Even if it takes 10 years to effectively pay it off that way it’s then a decent investment.

Those centre halves should pay it off over time.

Even better. They should also allow flags to be left in there, like they do at Man U and other clubs, the stand looks drab.

The club have said they are looking at the best options as to not interfere with the view from the disabled stand.

Should we stick another £1/£2 on a pint to those who will use the new fanzone for complaining about the present one. (I'm guessing a bigger expenditure). Cos folk could well go elsewhere. ?.
I reckon standing will attract more of the younger element. And it'll pay for itself in no time.

Have you got deep pockets. It could be developed into the east stand. Which may have been mentioned. During the last meaning pretty sure Gally might answer that one whether I'm right or wrong.
The West stand is not going to be renewed any time soon. it's been stated quite clearly. so why not offer more reasonable financial options. Instead of a campaign which is fruitless for many years to come. Unless we reach the promised land sooner.

Volunteer for the Advisory group. That's what it was designed for. Fans inputs. It's not a closed shop.
