Donny had longer then us to sort pitch out, their league stopped playing before us so obviously had longer to get it done. You can bet all the people dealing with flooding wish it was just a football match being called off.
Stick a few bob in the electric meter and turn the undersoil heating up to maximum. Soon get it boiled away. We've always done well playing in fog...
Plus, as was mentioned as long ago as last week, it is a hybrid pitch at Donny. Therein there is a question of finance. Our pitch was relaid prior to last season, and IMHO looked worse than the season before as soon as it was played on, which couldn’t be rectified (for a reasonable amount of £) before this season started. Swansea managed to put down a brand new hybrid pitch in the playing season, it might be time to bite the bullet and buy into the superior technology. It may be false economy relaying turf every summer.
So basically we were the only championship club that had a busy schedule over the summer and wev had the worst weather compared to anywhere in the country.
The vast majority of people on twitter only have about 5 words in their vocabulary, so I wouldn't worry about that. I don't even have to look to know the words 'tin pot' and 'embarrasing' will be getting overused.
Just seen Peterboroughs pitch on SSN. Looks worse than ours, looks like they have markings from rugby/american football on it as well. Horrid.
Not every Championship club is at home are they? We’ve certainly had worse weather than certain other parts of the country
Just watched a bit of the Burnley game on Sky, pitch dry , no rain, but in but why let facts get in the way of a DB moan based on what it might be like ?
I can well understand why the Derby fans are angry and irritated at us. I think it would be a nice gesture if BFC financially compensated those fans who travelled.
In a world where no crowds are allowed and no immediate prospects of that happening, there’s a pudding of a pitch that’s currently unplayable and the football club owners are in a serious legal dispute with the owners of the stadium, surely we’re likely to be playing our football somewhere else next season?
