They'll need to turn the heating on this week with the beast from the east 2 on it's way. TV brass at stake will make all the difference!

We've already missed out on ESPN revenue today according to YT. I'm sure the last thing on our minds was postponing the game today, with the expected fixture pileup in an already busy schedule

You can bet if we had played today and lost fans would have blamed the state of the pitch and said we shouldn't have played.

They have had longer to prepare but they also have far smaller budgets and stands that give far less protection to the pitch. This season it's regular home games for every team.

If we had a plastic sheet to cover the whole pitch it would have been on today. It must annoy our ground staff seeing heavy rain come down and all they have at their disposal is a couple of digging forks.

It would if you believe water rolls off the plastic sheeting and disappears, rather than soaking back into the pitch.

We upgraded the stadium but didn't upgrade the playing area to compensate for the changes made to the geography of the land we play on. Very difficult to blame the current board or groundsmen for that. It was neglected for years, as was the stadium as a whole. Hopefully something can be sorted with regard to ownership so that the rain runs down the hill, it's easy to buy a beer and you can buy a pie worthy of the name.

Buy the stadium and spend some money on it, the current owners of it do **** all.
