With substitutes, we need at least 30 players to field a first team and the under 21s - assuming we aren't going to play the same players in both squads every game.

 

I looked at it a few days ago and I agree with you mate. Lopata and Lofthouse back as back up and were 2/3 signings from a decent team..need the coach in so we can get moving

 

Thought they both ended this summer.

 

I doubt Conor, Daniel or whoever else we pick will know as much as you on certain topics.

 

Personally I just assumed it inevitable that he would be bought by some Premier League club.

 

I think we need a keeper, a central defender, a replacement for Styles if he leaves, and wingers if we move to 4-2-3-1.

 

Totally agree and hopefully we can move a few fringe players on to free up more money and places for a few quality signings and a couple of decent loans and then create a pathway into the squad for some of our best U23s players.

 

I think we need a keeper, a left back, and two wide players.
And I think there are 4 or 5 that can go out on loan again.

What gives you that impression? Rarely misses a game & pushed for loan moves at every club when he hasn’t been a starter. He seems the exact opposite of a player happy to sit on the bench

There are a couple that I'd move on but with a couple of additions that's not a bad side, 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

 

Who is Davies? And I’m not sure about McCarthy at full back.

Davies is me trying to manifest a return for Adam Davies. Same with Marc Roberts.

Edit - McCarthy is one I'd look to move on, but I think he's played RB before and could be used as cover.

 

Yes, but it's debatable whether an encyclopedic knowledge of YouTube Music and obscure sex acts is what's needed to move BFC forwards next season.

 

Disappointed to see all 4 of Kane, Cadden, Williams & Cole leave.

Kane’s been excellent for the past 2 seasons & was my player of the season this time round.

Williams is a brilliant full back / wing back at league one level.

Cadden’s had a bad final two months & had a dodgy first month this season but for the rest of this season & last season I thought he was superb.

Cole’s body language is crap but he’s a good league one striker & as we’ve seen with last summers recruitment they aren’t easy to find.

Overall I think all four have been poorly treat by a lot of the fans on here & social media. There’s this view portrayed that just because they’re out of contract they aren’t trying which I think couldn’t be further from the truth. These are the players that are almost ever presents. They rarely miss games injured.

Our biggest issue this season was our centre backs yet we finished 6th which suggests our wing backs, midfield & attack are of a very good standard.

Why anyone would be happy to see the back of quality league one players is beyond me.

It’s going to be hard to replace them with no revenue coming in for them & it’s also going to be hard to find players who are fit & available as often as these four.

 

I spoke to a Sunderland fan at the Burton game. He asked if we could come and take Styles back. Wasn’t impressed with him.
