He scared the hell out of their 'keeper with his physical presence.

Doesn't matter how they go in, a goal's a goal. I'd take one of them every week.

Dale probably tore Sheff Utd/Swindon/MKs apart while DW was in charge so he'll have probably seen him up close in proper game time aswell.

Rose is a good goal scorer he doesn't need to be a scorer of good goals. He will be one of our main strikers next season and I can't wait myself. Not sure why the need of any Barnsley supporter to constantly criticise our younger players.

Aye I remember the stick Barnsley 'fans' gave Eaden Liddell and Watson for being not good enough. I'd say of the current crop we have 3 or 4 who may have successful careers at Championship level with maybe one who any make it higher. Not exactly comparing them to Messi there am I? I always think it's jealousy really.

What's your evidence that he's not good enough? He's unproven & not had the chance

    Very harsh Nightmare.

They are good talents and we need to try them.

I've watched um in u21s and they don't look all that at that standard against boys/young men, they'll struggle in championship and 3 blokes who make there living as football managers think the same or they'd have been playing them

We have a manager now who clearly rates them. Including one regularly, long term contract for the other. Obviously thinks it's a little too early for the third. And to be fair 2 of those managers thought Tom Kennedy and Jim McNulty would make Great acquisitions..

Danny Roses looks very good at u21 level. Scored two against Crewe last week and hit the cross bar twice with clever shots.

Dame Judy Dench is ok as a holding midfielder

but she is not good in the air and lacks a bit of mobility for me.

RNL doesn't look much in the 21's. Different beast in the first team. Same goes for Etuhu etc.

Having spoke to professional footballers, they struggle to get themselves up for these glorified reserve games. The academy lads might shine, as it's a step up for them, but the lads who've tasted the first team see it as a step down and it affects them. Suppose you could have a pop at them for that, but I understand where they're coming from. It'd be like me at work getting pushed down the pecking order into doing something menial that I'm above in terms of ability. I'd too probably give it less in terms of enthusiasm.

Good. This should have happened sooner.

This loan spell will make or break him.

Big step up in class and physicality.

Defenders down that level aren't known for being friendly.
