Going to need a source for that, as nothing I have checked has indicated that this is correct. NordVPN uses the fact you can access streaming sites around the world as a selling point.

While illegal activity remains illegal while using a Vpn, eg hacking, there are no laws that I am aware of against telling Netflix you're based in the USA. That's a ToS issue, not a legal one.

And if that works, it's just more evidence of how bad Ifollow is.

A pet hate of mine is people / companies who create contents which doesn't use open standards and thus works better one one browser over another.

For the record, I have paid for this service with my season ticket, but what sort of organisation cuts to adverts whilst the summarisor is still speaking ... mid word....OK, maybe ITV would.

And OK as for pirates harming the club ... that's it, blame the "customers", not "football" as an industry that decides to pay plays multiple thousands of pounds a week.

That is so annoying the constant adverts when our commentary team are still speaking. I don't even watch adverts on TV as I either record something to whiz through them or change channel for four minutes.

Also why can't we have summarising at half time and before the game instead of watching players on the pitch?

VPNs aren't illegal. They're perfectly legal and are used extensively for all kinds of reasons

Just curious whether anybody has any "friends" who have been caught using VPNs?

I wouldn't have thought they were detectable. I've used them to access English Netflix when abroad and would think if a big company such as Netflix couldn't detect then surely the EFL won't lol

I like the 'say no to piracy' messages, displayed during the streaming of a legal service for which I have paid £249.

I was in Tesco the other day, in my mask, and the security guard approached me and said: "Don't forget your mask, mate."

All that banner does is make me wish I hadn't paid for it when it is blocking some of the pitch and taking my attention from the game when it pops up.

It reminds me of those flashing "slow down" signs which light up at the entrance to a built-up area as you approach at 29 in a 30 limit.

The other day the commentary went "round the grounds" while we were watching the game. And we had a period where the commentary of two matches was played at once. There have been a number of Barnsley goals this season that no one has seen live because of the problems. It's a quarter of a grand that people have dished out to watch this rubbish. Many people with season tickets have been charged again to gain access to the match and it isn't automatically refunded, you have to jump through hoops to claim it. Many have missed entire games due to technical problems.

Meanwhile, those who own the club, who are in such a position as it is believed they are billionaires, who self confess they haven't put a single penny into it, haven't actually paid for it, which is under legal process.

It would be impossible to overstate just how misjudged this is.

Whilst we’re moaning as well, can it stop with the f***ing iFollow adverts that start literally the second the half time and full time whistle goes and lasts for about 3 minutes? I don’t need adverts for iFollow, I know it exists as I’m paying twice for the thing! (Once through season ticket and once for audio commentary for away matches). Do you know what makes me not want to pay for iFollow? The adverts for iFollow when I actually want to listen to commentary about our game. Also, yesterday, as the Radio Sheffield guys lost their connection in added time we got treated to generic Radio Sheffield stuff for the last few minutes and then when they went back, just as the whistle went, we got iFollow adverts so I ended up turning off after a couple of minutes and not hearing the summary (if there was one).

You’re right it’s abysmal that the adverts interrupt commentary every time. Even worse when it’s Matt because A) it’s actually probably worth hearing and B) at the very least someone should tell Matt to wait a couple of minutes to do the summary if they don’t have control over the adverts.

i'm wondering when the vpn sticky guide is going to be removed so not to encourage fans (once allowed back in) from robbing clubs of further income other than the tenner for an ill gotten gained match pass
the forum admin need to review their piracy policy too
