Hopefully, it'll be available somewhere to watch live Game against Tykes will be played at 6pm, Saturday 31st July at CFA City will face Barnsley at the CFA on Saturday evening, in a hastily arranged pre-season friendly. The game will kick off at 6pm and will be played behind closed doors, but will be screened live on City+, the club have announced. The Blues had been due to play ES Troyes AC, but travel restrictions to France as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic meant the game had to be cancelled. It left Pep Guardiola with a fairly sparse pre-season schedule, with only two games arranged ahead of the season opener at White Hart Lane on August 14th. City face Preston North End at the Academy Stadium tonight, before travelling to London for the Charity Shield against Leicester on August 7th. The game against Barnsley will allow Guardiola additional time to assess the fitness of his players, many of whom are returning late after their involvement in Euro 2020. link
Liam delap would be a great signing on what ive seen of him!! Other than that atleast it should provide a good test and any friendly is better than none.
They have exclusivity. We can't live stream it. But perhaps you can access City+? I dunno. EDIT - you can sign up to City+ for £1.99 and cancel at any time We'll still film it and create a highlights package I assume.
Also, it sounds like they might have a few first teamers playing... ..."By Saturday, it's believed the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo and Nathan Aké will be allowed to play more freely and complete longer periods of match action, with a couple of training sessions under their belt at the City Football Academy." link
I did say to my mate that perhaps Schopp valued quality time on the training ground more than half arsed games with entire lineup changes at half time
The Loughborough trip was key for him. It went well. But until the real stuff starts, these friendlies are just fitness, match practice. I'll take nothing from us winning 6-0 or losing 6-0.
Schopp and Pep played together for a short while in ltaly. Perhaps it’s just an excuse to have a chinwag.
Correct. https://theathletic.com/2735689/202...eight-around-to-hijack-barnsley-friendly/?amp We don't come across as great letting down Watford at short notice and our own fans who had already booked travel to go watch us live, for a lot of people the first time in nearly a year and a half.
