Not particularly troubled by this as I have Sky but can I pay for weekend away fixtures or is this not possible?
I didn't read it that way. There doesn't seem to be any mention of + members only being allowed away games midweek
So let me check Ive got this right Reserved + get to watch all home games and midweek away games - regardless of whether they are on Sky Weekend away fixtures can be bought for £10 if not on sky Reserved get to watch all home games regardless of whether they are on sky Away games can be bought for £10 if not on sky Non ST holders can buy all games not on sky for £10 per match if you dont have sky a nowtv sports day pass costs £10 so all games on sky can be watched for £10 is that right?
"In the Championship access to AWAY MIDWEEK matches will also be available as part of the season ticket package if Clubs choose to offer it. " So its up to the club - I assume as we already published what we wanted to do the club will offer that to + members but not regular members. May be wrong though
Well, it says home and midweek away games for season ticket holders if the club chooses. Given that away game streaming was already a ‘benefit’ of the + membership, it makes no sense for them to give midweek away games to non-plus members. I’d put money on this being the outcome of “We will confirm membership eligibility in due course”.
I know, but they also said that way back when lockdown ended, and non + members got away games when it wasn't specified, so... It does make sense
Today’s statement was an EFL one, along with the club explaining what that statement means. That’s why there wasn’t many specific details. The specifics will come in the coming days. Just don’t expect non-plus members to get the midweek away games and you won’t be disappointed then if they change tack and do provide them, it’s a bonus.
How would you purchase a weekend Away match. Through Barnsley ifollow or do you need to register with the Away team on follow ?
Exactly, as a non + holder I wasn't expecting away games last time, just as I'm not expecting them this time. Anything other than home games is a bonus for me
It would be strange if they did that as it would force you to register with each away club - in any case overseas members can buy home and away games via the Barnsley site unless they are broadcast - but I suppose it might be too much work for the EFL to turn of the geographic filter
