Exactly what I said further up the thread So I have no idea where all this speculation is coming from. If there was any news we'd have had the communication? Anyway surely this comes under Khaled's 99.9% remit so he'll explain shortly.......
We seem to have suffered from a chronic lack of staff around the first team, I always see teams with 1/2 coach of people in trackies buzzing around, we have one bloke and his mate in the dugout.
Headcoach, Assistant head coach. First Team Coach (under poya 2). Goalkeeper coach. 2 physios and kitman. Maybe missed one of two.
I doubt they would install him as first team interim coach then fire him. I suspect as has been stated he will have a role in the first team and a new coach will still be appointed perhaps along with an assistant.
That description sounds more of a Managerial/Admin role than hands on to me. Is it just a replacement for Melissa?
Getting into the minutiae here... From reading the job descriptions, the Senior PDP Coach would take the U18s on matchdays but there's no indication of who takes the U23s. The Head of Coaching role doesn't mention it and Devaney's Linkedin states he's 'Senior Professional Development Phase Coach U23' which isn't his role on the club site anymore Why are these being advertised publically? What is going on with the Academy structure and coaching? Are we getting rid of the Under 23s? Do Martin Devaney and Tom Harban still work at the club? Another absolute clusterfvck of communication.
For all its promises the Club's comms just continue to scrape the barrel. Publicly advertising the jobs of two well liked and respected club stalwarts without a word to explain why their jobs are suddenly and unexpectedly vacant? Come on.
Particularly when one of them has been covering the most senior role at the club football wise which will obviously lead to speculation he might be staying in it permanently.
So, from the last meeting There is no longer going to be u18s, U23s and first team. They're going to divide 3 into 2. So Devaney presumably is with A group ( either as manager or assistant) and the one that's been advertised is B group? Not sure where that leaves Tom Harban.
Thanks for that. Hopefully we'll get some proper clarification on what that means and whether we'll have an U18 and U23 team to watch or just one. I think most fans would see the value in going to an old fashioned first team/academy model but we should still have a U23 team competing as a bridge. I'm expecting a full end of season CEO statement in the next fortnight covering this, failings of our relegation, plans for next season, addressing season ticket sales and their long term view on the direction of the club. In public, not an invite only meeting. That's the least we deserve, the questions answerable for the owners go far beyond that.
Communication is just so grim. Remember when we found out Frieser was leaving when he put all his stuff on ebay? We're a disgrace.
Agree on some aspects of our comms, but isn't this just players posting things they shouldn't before official comms have been put together? A negative aspect of the modern social media world? We found out we were signing Sollbauer in a similar way before the two clubs had officially agreed the deal and agreed to announce it.
We found out frieser was going when he put his clothes on eBay, found out Dane Murphy had done when Forest announced him as their CEO (bfc still haven't announced it) found out that Oularé had gone on loan for two years when their club announced it. The list goes on. Our communication is absolutely appalling at all levels
It happens far too often with us it seems. Didn't we find out Dane Murphy had left when Forest announced he'd joined them?
Don't get me started on how we handled Dane Murphy leaving. But surely we have to start realising there's probably someone responsible for that particular communication never going out, right? It isn't anyone in the media team I'm sure.
