It's got no toilets, no catering facilities, oh and it's the west stand it's a shithole that nobody wants to sit in. As evidenced by how few tickets have been sold in it compared to the rest of the stand. Needs ripping down asap as it's severely harming the clubs potential and has limited our ticket sales a few times this season
Didn’t we open up the block furthest north of the east stand for the Wednesday game. Don’t think that’s been opened up for the lower tier anyway. It’s not a good look if we can’t sell as many tickets for a play off semi final as we sold for a league game against Wednesday
Totally agree with you, it is a shithole, & if it is stopping folk buying a ticket because it puts them off then the sooner it’s demolished & replaced the better.
Just looked on Eticketing. East Stand and Ponty are pretty much full and single seats in those areas look to be selling quicker than 2+ tickets together in the West Stand. That tells you all you need to know about the state of that stand and what people think of it.
Should buy their tickets earlier then. But as it happens, sold out for the wendy game to not so fickle fans. Gior bairnin.
What a bizarre viewpoint. The problem isn't that the rusty relic isn't fit for purpose anymore, it's that fans are fickle and should just shut up and sit in it. Righto
So why not buy tickets in other parts of the ground instead of waiting. They've had loads of time. Been on sale since day one to non season ticket holders.
To be honest jamdrop after having to sit in it when they closed the east stand a few months back I don't think it's anything to do with fickle. It was extremely uncomfortable as the seats were so low down that my knees were in front of my chest and again because of how low the seats were I couldn't see the corner flag near the tunnel because the angle of viewing just wasn't right. The toilets were frankly a disgrace and there was nowhere near enough room to stand in behind the stand as everyone deserted their uncomfortable hell hole seats at half time. It isn't fickle to expect not to be sat in discomfort with a terrible view of the pitch
There's nothing wrong with the view from the WSL - same seats and aspect as the corresponding areas of the ESL. Fu¢k-all facilities, I'll grant you, but if you just want a decent view of the action, I'm not sure what the problem is.
The seats are lower down than in other stands and lower seats combined with the dugouts being in front of that stand means a large area of the pitch isn't visible
I know a few that have STs in the West Stand. The ground looks fantastic viewed from there to be fair and access in and out is good compared to rest of the ground. Main problem is the weather as there’s next to no cover. Forecast looks fine for Friday so no reason for people to use it as an excuse not to go. Get yer tickets bought and get behind the lads.
Yes they are. The seats i sat in and couldn't see anything near the tunnel area are always on sale. In fact I'd argue that as I was about 10 rows back and the dugouts blocked my view that anyone lower down would have it blocked more right? That means at least the first 10 rows of the west stand all the way along. That's more than a small handful
Why are you so het up with fans that think it's a relic when they have much earlier opportunities to get seats in other parts of the ground is my point. Why wait till it's the only option if fickle. It's a critical football match for gods sake. If they don't like the fact then stay at home and let those that want to go and watch a match get behind the team. If and when it gets replaced or modernised then they can come back. You and others are defending summat that isn't there. Give me one persons name you are defending that says I'm not going cos of the state of the west stand and I'll give you 2.5k that are going to sit in it. Despite its failings. including around 800 season ticket holders.
We sit in the block behind the dugout and I've never seen the first few rows either on sale or occupied, apart from a few kids more interested in getting the subs' autographs than watching the game. Having said that, we've moved to the ESL for next season. Nowt to do with the view, just the facilities, which I agree are a disgrace for paying customers in the WSL
