Yes, just been watching it - seven years ago yesterday!! Walsall fans were top to bottom, with the tarp running vertically, so no reason why we can't do that on Friday and get home fans in there.
No pairs of tickets left now, have they released the unsold season ticket seats yet ? Now’s the time to decide on the North stand, if it’s not going to be possible then someone’s dropped a bollock !
Thanks redrum , so it’s either single seats or hope the North stand becomes available
Can't blame them for not opening the North Stand. We had an embarrassing number of seats still available by the time the season ticket reservations had stopped. Opening the North Stand would probably have led to noticeable gaps in the East, Ponty and West Stands, not to mention extra costs. Whether they open it now, I'm not so sure. How much demand is there?
Have they released the east stand lower block closesest to North stand? I can't see them mixing fans in the away end. Syp won't have that.
There's about 200 tickets left by my reckoning. I'd say demand is pretty high. We've sold a sh1tload of tickets in the last 48 hours. Open the North up.
Thing is its alot of organising for 500 or so tickets to be sold in with 2k Bolton fans. Like you say if we could sell 2k do it. But I can't see syp going for the idea either
Not only that I think from a security safety point of view is it worth the aggro. Tensions will be running high on Friday night and it’s going to end badly for one team and as we all know if fans get a chance to goad others they will mix in a bit of drink and all hell could break loose. Is it worth the additional security costs to bring in a couple more thousand fans. Guess time and the club can only answer that last question.
Had we got to this level of sales last week, it might've been worth it. As it is, can't see us getting more than few hundred in the North Stand if we put it up for sale. Probably cheaper and less aggro to get the north end of the West stand to a bare minimum state and signed off if we want to sell any more tickets.
They’ve opened another block (WUC) in the west stand upper, goes behind and around the directors box. 1 block (E14) in east upper now sold out, as is the far side block (OR1) in the ponty Great response and turn out this, going to be a great night
People are already buying seats in the latest block opened as well, they won’t last long at this rate
Against Walsall I believe the full West Stand was open wasn’t it ? Surely it’s not hard to organise some portaloos and a mobile refreshments van, plus a few turnstile operators?
Absolutley, I wouldn’t want to split my family across 4 seats randomly scattered around a stand, they’ll be loads wanting to sit together who might have given up already. The East and Ponty should be considered sold out now, they will both be packed and those odd seats won’t even been noticed, if someone really wants to sit in them alone then they still can (for now). The focus should now be opening new blocks to meet the demand of people wanting seats that are together. The lower block in the east nearest the away end must be already sold out, I’d have thought they’d have opened that before opening more in the west upper Will they open more in the west beyond the tunnel or open the north (if demand is still high)
