People will be holding out for other blocks opening happened v Wednesday then when it gets to Wednesday and no more opening all the singles will start to go faster.
Even if opening the north stand means risking a small loss I’d say it’s worth it long term. Nights like these have the potential to turn people from casual fans to regulars, the odd match day ticket to season tickets holders. There is a great opportunity here to show people not only how well we are playing but also how fantastic the atmosphere is at Oakwell these days It’s better than any marketing campaign, get people in those seats and get them loving Barnsley again.
Defo. I just hope we haven’t missed a trick by not opening them sooner, people who don’t go often (and spend hours refreshing seating plans!) will have thought there won’t be any more seats sat together made available and given up, not willing to sit apart If we open the north stand the club needs to announce it and make sure everyone is aware there’s a ton of new seats available, one final media push to get as many bums on seats as possible, they’ll be a few hundred who’ve given up I bet that we can still reach
I bet the club are wishing the map / specific seat selector function wasn't available, with seats being allocated to ensure least number of single seats leftover as possible are left. Once the last few of that West Upper block goes, the club will have a dilemma.
Thing now would be a logistical nightmare if they opened North it would result in folk wanting to swap and create gaps in rest of ground
Highly doubt the North will be opened up at this stage. Maybe they might have a plan for other blocks of the West, and I'm not sure the furthest north block of the East ever went on sale either.
Only 3 seats left sat together and 2 of those a reserved/about to be bought, which block will they open next? Even though this block behind the directors is open I think it’s only the ponty side of it that’s had seats available so far, could be the other half of that next
I think that was for the upper tier. They’ve just released tickets for the furthest block of the lower tier now
I don’t believe it did, never get my head round this we have a clear break in between two stands, not a row of tape a clear gap
