i was hoping somebody would mention that contract thing we keep hearing so much about a lot of other clubs must be in breach of contract because they dont post half as many stories as we do. unless we have a different contract to the rest of the league or unless pot noodle horn has been talking ******** to the fans again *Note: Pot noodle horn is not a commonly known nickname of anybody in particular and so a libel case cannot be brought against comments made against the useless tosspot
Redfearn? I'm sick of seeing that news about his shirt, why is it still there with the 12th date on it, and no match report?
stop complaining. we are one of the most forward thinking clubs in the league we already have a preseason section and that isnt for another 10 months or so
RE: i was hoping somebody would mention that contract thing we keep hearing so much about If I recall correctly the information reference how many news items have to be posted on the official site to maintain the contract with Premium Tv, came from David Walker. I might be wrong on that tho'
how do you know i wasnt talking about him? like i said pot noodle horn is nobody's nickname in particular but now that you mention it, that excuse has come from more than one person in the past. 3 i believe
I've just checked the web sites of a number of teams from our division All of them use premium TV and not one of them has a story about another club on its main page. Its all about their club. All of them still have match reports and managers comments from both the weekend games and midweek games. We have a story about a Doncaster Rovers player being injured, a coach at MK Dons quitting and Ireland falling further down the FIFA rankings. At the very bottom of the main page is an interview with Andy Ritchie. But for that you wouldn't know Barnsley had won 3-0 away from home last night. I would have thought the people logging on to the official site today would want to read about our excellent victory last night, so I would have thought the match report and the manager's interview would be top of the main page. But what do I know.
RE: I've just checked the web sites of a number of teams from our division Exactly, you know nowt. Barnsley fans would be bored to tears if all they read about was Barnsley FC, you have to give them something a bit different, it's what they want - they just haven't realised that yet. It's the future. Market research proves it - just like when they surveyed all those cats to find out which tin of rabbit spleen they prefer.
For heaven's sake... The match report was on the website very quickly after the game. I had been out and was unable to listen to the commentary, so I went straight to the site not long after the game had finished and the report was there. To be fair, Rob almost always puts the reports on within the hour of the game finishing or even considerably less... there were a couple of occasions where one didn't appear for a couple of days, but I think that's when Rob was away and Steve couldn't get online or something. Yes, the official site could possibly be improved, but don't find faults that aren't there.
The problem was being able to find it It wasn't on the main page or in the breaking news section. It was last night but it wasn't today. Many people would have first accessed the official site this morning, but unless you trawled through the archives the match report was nowhere to be seen. This wasn't a complaint for the sake of it, it was difficult to find the match report. Thankfully this issue has now been rectified.
RE: The problem was being able to find it Only on the home page. I link directly to the breaking news page, where it is nowhere to be seen.
