Yes they do get extra. A retail outlet in a location that only attracts 8,000 people for 1 hour isn't worth as much money as a retail outlet that attracts 8,000 people for 1 hour and 3,000 people for a further hour. More people in the concourses supping beer before a game = more valuable bars = higher rent = more money for club
Which further reinforces the poor commercial management of the club. Personally I wouldn't have shitty TVs all over the concourses, but a single large projector screen that could serve as a focal point before games showing either Sky Sports or old highlights. I'd stick some patio heaters around there too so people weren't freezing their knackers off. There's umpteen really simple things that the club could do to improve the experience of fans. Many local boozers have a projector screen and patio heaters so we're not talking radical stuff here.
