Burns won us a point against Huddersfield (fair enough)

That's it, I'm afriad. All his other goals were in defeats or in the Cup.

Brian Howard's goals have won us FIVE points so far this season (four in the last seven game since he replaced Burns in the side). I can't bring myself to blame the midfield for recent our "bad run".

I fully agree that we have no real cover in midfield. Allegedly, Wroe is available again. I guess AR will use Antny there if needs be.

Where's the alternative to try and change the game?

We end up changing formation because we've nobody that can fill that position.

    RE: Can't agree

the sole reason we are fading is not because we sold burns, but because our strikers couldn,t hit a cows arse with a banjo and that has been the problem all season, lets be honest if we had a 25 goal a season striker we,d have pissed this league!

    So you wouldn't prefer...

...Howard, McPhail AND Burns in that midfield, with Howard replacing the disappointing Devaney?

I think Howard is much better in the middle.

Where I do agree with most folk is that Burns was a good player and we have lost him. He has not been replaced.
