    Yes, I got a lot of cricket gear for my two sons from there , the father & son who used to run it were called Sissons & that time they both played at Rotherham Pheonix although Ithink they moved clubs later

    There's a gap in the market for sports shops in Barnsley I reckon. In the town center now theres only sports direct who many people wont buy from and blackfords.

    Keegan Sports was owned by a distant relative of mine. Walt Keegan. I think he had something to do with Don Valley Sports too...

    They were very good with junior cricket & sponsored the Barnsley & district junior cricket league for years & also if you were affiliated to any league club they would give you extra discount on your purchase , really nice people

    I'll try again! Yes, it was called Top Sports Supplies. I used to work in there some Saturdays back in the late 1980s. They did sell Nike and also specialised in selling badminton equipment!

    when i was young i scored for 1st team too so came across brian sissons n frank elliot both very good cricketers at that level.

    I think the shop was called Top Sports, or something similar. I could be wrong though.
