I reckon he could have broke Bolt's world record if he cared. He looked to the big screen, knew he'd won and showboated to the line slowing down a bit and thumping his chest. He won so easily.
I can't believe that I actually enjoyed the Skateboarding, and the Mountain biking events a few days ago. And the Triathlon especially, even though we don't have the Brownlee brothers doing it anymore.
Haven't watched the Javelin for many a long year. Was always dominated by Europeans, now there's competitors from all round the world, and throwing it loooong. Good to see.
Aye, seems he knew beforehand too, whereas Peaty found out after his race. Does raise questions about him mixing with the other athletes, although clearly not breaking any rules per se.
I'd not be surprised to hear there's something wrong with Bol, she didn't look on it at all. Great run from Sydney though.
Possibly, but she also went off super fast to try to give herself a chance against Sydney. That may have taken too much out of her.
As I said, not broken any rules. Morally though? If someone at my work tests positive they work from home, other people would still prefer not to catch it.
That young lass who won a bronze for G.B on the Skateboard, was good. But admittedly the other two, more experienced pair, who got Gold and Silver, were better. And the Triathlon just tires me out watching it lol, how on earth can they do that. The mens Mountain biking was a real battle for our rider, and he had to scrap with the French rider. He was really sneaky when taking the lead for the final time though, they bumped and that caused the French rider to lose the grip on his pedals. Thankfully though nothing was made of it, as it happens all the time.
It was always a nightmare...the only time it wasn't was the couple of Olympics when the judges registered scoring punches in real time...it wasn't perfect but at least it was transparent.
I think we've got a future Gold winner here, in Hudson Smith. He was just pipped by the American in the 400m final.
