When are the next Athletics World Championships, and Commonwealths ?.

 

Going back to this again, and I agree with those who suggested it, he/Johnson was really high on something.
It disappoints me to hear that he claimed after getting caught, that almost everybody was 'juiced' up, in that Final!!.

 

He was probably right. Most of the lineup were banned at some point in their career.

 

Linford was 32 when he won gold in 1992 so perhaps it's not all over for Hudson-Smith. Loads of sprinters have won golds in their 30s.

Katarina Johnson Thompson bottling it again. Just saw her in that long jump run up scared to death.

 

Bit early to be drinking. She's completed another event, still top and only had her lead cut by a measly 3 points by Thiam who hardly ever loses. She's in a great position and as she's lived in France for a few years it will feel like another home Olympics for her.

 

Bottling it but still leading overall, only 1cm less than her nearest rival !

Have a read of the first paragraph of her bio to see how rare her achievements are. Pop down to her career medals where she's won 11 gold medals and barely lost in the past decade in major competitions.

If KJT pulls it off it would be a travesty if she didn't win SPOTY.

Bet 365 have Thiam at 1/16 with KJT having to run about 8 seconds faster to take gold at odds of 8/1.

Should still be a very good silver.

 

I've never been so anxious watching any televised sport than I have at this climbing coverage.

I've become an expert in all sorts of sports after watching for half an hour. "What you playing at!" I found myself shouting at someone flying on a board attached to a kite.

 

Steve Backley has been getting stick because he incorrectly called shot putt finalist Raven Saunders "she" when they are not binary and go as they and them. People have supported him though asking why they are in a women's event if not a woman.

 

I've never known a GB team throw away as many track and field golds. (Relay, 1500m and 400m). Particularly standing out.
