Qpr strikers currently on their books Matt Smith Idrissa Syllla Conor Washington Jamie Mackie Jay Emmanuel-Thomas
Why do I have to name names? I can hold the opinion that I don't think someone is the solution without knowing what the solution is.
I wouldn't trust the Daily Star, both Grimsby and Wigan forums say around £750k rising to £1 million http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11682/10750307/wigan-sign-grimsby-town-striker-omar-bogle
I wouldn"t mind Matt Smith, I think he would bring that different option most of us think we need & he has decent experience at this level
If he has any ambition in terms of developing as a player and there is truth in the rumour, I would put us as favourites for his signature regardless of being outbid on wages by QPR. We have shown in recent years our structure can allow this development and we have obviously gained the respect of bigger teams when they are looking for a player. Albeit it to our disadvantage when losing players to bigger clubs but we must be becoming quite an attractive prospect to the players with the correct mindset. If Hecky and his team reckon Bogle could be good enough, I trust their judgement. Another reason not to go to QPR.. Far less chance of game time.. So again IF the rumour is true, it will give us a good view on the players mindset on which club he prefers.
Why would I need my cheque book, a loan deal until January would be affordable, Boro may even share his wages on a short term loan.
Would only be Barnsley to chase somebody for three months and lose him last minute to somebody else. If it wasn't for Llorente being injured, he would have signed a month back.
would all depend on the player really, If he is driven by money then QPR will be able to offer more of that than us I imagine. If its a good place to get lots of games under a very good young manager then we stand a great chance
You know the Championship is completely mad when a team as poor as Wigan were last season no doubt had several players on 15 grand plus a week
I still don't know what the appeal is either to McBurnie. A few more fans are talking about Bogle today, including the Rotherham & Notts County fans. But I cant see him joining anybody outside the Champship. And wasn't the Qpr striker Matt Phillips once at Blackpool ? And if it was him he did very well against us at Oakwell on boxing day 2011.
If we couldn't afford Bogle in January not sure we can afford him now. Didn't seem to impress while at Wigan anyway
