There has to be some contact with group elders and an understanding of regulation put in place. I'm respectful to anyone's way of life and some bands of travellers are as old as many of our communities. But when a lifestyle interferes, disrupts and threatens the security of others, there will be problems and a natural rejection of nomadic groups. The emphasis has to be on the travelling groups to make a serious move to live within established laws/bylaws and public decency. If you take from society, you have to contribute something in return. Believing you exist outside of society and have the right to self regulate, but are dependent on the welfare system to survive, is pure hypocrisy. As usual, it will take a staunch, intelligent Liberal to do something about it, but unfortunately they are a bit thin on the ground with any degree of power and influence.
