At least I can understand that, if it's traditionally chaotic and achieving very little then a precedence has been set. Please carry on. #popularthreadhere
One of the main reasons? Why not avoid clicking the thread I started? And replying to it as well? Before tonight I doubt there are more than five posts from me on here since the summer.
I didn't see you started it cos I'm on forum runner so no need to be a clever lovely person eh? And ******** I've seen countless posts from you and your girlfriend... I guess it must be pretty boring in that bedsit of yours.
You're right, it is ********. Before tonight, three posts from myself since August. Almost countless, but I made it up to three. Just.
Good idea I think. When Betfair forums(esp.cricket) were worth reading someone would always start , say, a second days play thread at a given test and all comments on that day's play were kept to that. Worked well I thought . (But what do I know lol)
look passing the time on a non match day is one thing but we are all feeling pretty pissed off at the moment and coming on offering 'advice' and being more than a bit sarky was hardly ever likely to be well received
The subject came up because it was a match day. Apologies. Still think it's a good idea. Maybe consider it tomorrow when there's not a match on.
I think a one match thread is a bit like a one night stand. Briefly engaging, but usually something you regret in the morning.
There's other bfc forums that use the rigid one thread per topic format you're suggesting, why don't you try them? Or stick around here and enjoy the fluidity that is the bbs format. The choice is yours.
I'm not too bothered what you use. It honestly doesn't affect me. I only wanted to make suggestions to improve things for such a good forum. Really want to see potential realised.
Of course the choice is mine-thanks for the reminder.. I only express a view on the topic of the thread. - me here thinking this being the general idea of this kind of thing . And thanks for the invitation to go elsewhere as a result of expressing an opinion that you may not quite agree with ...
Agree mate but this forum is full of attention seekers. A goal goes in and that's 20 threads all telling me the same thing. Nuts.
Now I wouldn't dream of saying that's what is really going on... Still, at least this has prompted discussion and some thought. I feel like we're making small steps towards a common goal.
