Thats reight for me, he did eventually win me over after a crap couple of months at the beginning of his reds career, then he started well this season but dipped a bit prior to Christmas. Good luck Caracticus.
I found it interesting. Is his dad also called Potts?? Does the house have a wing? Altogether now........ Four bedrooms with Pottsy on the wing
Yes, I also said this last night. Carlisle, Blackpool and Preston. There’s a theme there in the West Coast. Also, as someone else mentioned, a relegation clause for reduced wages in a contract, usually also includes a sale clause in the player’s favour - so they can escape elsewhere for higher wages if someone comes in. End of the day, if a player wants to go higher, no point stopping them - just profit as much as we can from it.
I'd lay odds that his Agent was the prime catalyst in engineering a move. They receive a retainer but make more profit if they can set up a deal that pays their client more money by moving them to a different Club. Agents have become the scourge of the game. As Cloughie once said, when he first started in football , the only Agent he was aware of was 007 and he shag*ed females not Football Clubs.
If the release clause story is true, it is fairly worrying that other release clauses exist in player contracts. Its easy for an agent to leak this.
