    Most gadgets are rubbish and you only use them for a couple of weeks and then never again, I wouldn't get a breadmaker, popcorn maker or sandwich maker for that reason.

    I would get a slow cooker, very useful especially in winter and if you haven't got one, an electric toothbrush, much better than a normal one.

    Aluminum step ladders. Was on em earlier thinking they must be a good 12 year old and still as good as the day I bought em. Minus a few drips of paint naturally.
