I hope that was a joke!!

Arshavin is class - has been playing that well consistantly for the last two seasons in Russia. I just hope he realises that if he goes to Barca he'll be man marked and pulled out of position like that most games he plays in. Will be interesting to see how he copes against such defending week in, week out.

Became the best thing since sliced bread after playing in an England U21s world cup and was signed by Palace for a million squid as the first million pound tenager

Then what happened, offloaded for 700K. Not exactly a glittering career at the top of football, with 4 free transfers in a single season a couple of years ago - 30 and being played pass the parcel with.

    ignorance to european football?

I knew about Suker before wc 98 when he was great goal scorer for both Seville and Real Mardid under Capello but the fact that his profile was increased massively after wc 98 much more globally than ever before and he never did it again and will prodominantly be remember outside of Croatia as the player who was top goal scorer at wc98 not for anything he did before or after when he had the chance to could class him as a one tournement wonder?

Some people get very personal on here don't they :D

    RE: but was sh@#e

He was excellent in both Euro '96 and France '98 which doesn't make him a one tournament wonder in my book.
