Doesn't matter if I've got Dysart at 100s - he was never winning that.

    What a performance!

Had War Lord in the 2.10 E/W.

Unfortunately, Lostintranslation came 8th, when 7th E/W would have done.

    Not bad so far.

    Appreciate It next.

So sad that another horse has died. How many more horses have to die before they put an end to this? Animal cruelty dressed up as entertainment. I get that folk are making a few quid but come on...

You do realise that if racing was banned tomorrow they'd all be dead by Thursday

Only because the 'sport' exists. I just find it very sad mate. But I feel that way about all animals dying needlessly.

It's horrible when a horse is killed like this. But statistically, a horse is more likely to die on a farm or in a private house than on the racecourse, so maybe we need to have a look at that too?

Honeysuckle is my favourite mare since Annie Power. She's a beautiful creature.

Four good results. Most successful (lucky) I’ve been in years to be honest.

No apologies for repeating what I said last Thursday. Honeysuckle was a brilliant second-time winner of the Champion Hurdle and Rachel was brilliant. But Constitution Hill covered the two miles 5.78 seconds faster than the mare carrying four pounds more weight in the Supreme! If you are as old as me, that race will perhaps evoke memories of Edward O'Grady's brilliant but ill-fated novice Golden Cygnet, who scorched eight lengths clear of the field in the same race back in 1978. Constitution Hill is now rated twelve pounds higher (177+) than Honeysuckle (165) by Timeform and is within five pounds of that organisation's highest-ever rated hurdler, Night Nurse (182). Only three races in to his hurdling career, in Constitution Hill we may be potentially looking at the hurdling equivalent of Frankel. What a start to the meeting!

    Three for me today.
    1.30 Sir Gerhard
    2.50 Saint Felicien
    5.30 Facile Vega

I'm content to watch and enjoy the contests between Bravemansgame and Ahoy Senor (2.10) and the rematch between Shishkin and Energumene (3.30) and I'm fascinated to see whether Tiger Roll can end his magnificent career on a high in the Cross Country (4.10) despite an absence of any recent form. Bring it on!

There's sumat about Easyland and it's two inept performances this season that is making me feel uneasy. I might have to back it in the Cross Country.

Thinking of putting on an E/W Heinz today.

    Stage Star
    Ahoy Senor
    Gowel Road
    Put The Kettle On
    Easysland
    Editeur Du Gite

Someone talk me out of it.

Beat Tiger Roll into second in this two years ago but was 18 lengths behind that one in last year's renewal. It's be some turnaround! My eye keeps being drawn to Delta Work, whose last 14 starts have been in top Grade One chases. He hasn't won one for two years, mind!
