I'd say we need cover at centre back, cover for Hammill and cover in centre midfield alongside Hourihane.

That said there's plenty of ability in that starting XI, although I'd play Scowen instead of Moncur. We're right not to just buy players out of the need to fill the squad out. We've got a good reputation for loan players and hopefully we can find a few more if we can't bring in permanent transfers of the right quality.

Yiadom for Bree would be a change I'd make, think we may see one up top more this season so Scowen would come in for Winnall or Bradshaw with Moncur in the hole

    As it stands:

    4-4-2.

Davies; Yiadom, Mawson, Roberts, White; Watkins, Scowen, Hourihane, Hammill; Winnall, Payne.

Townsend, Cowgill, Bree, Moncur, Bradshaw, Harris, Lee.

We definitely require at least one rapid winger (Isgrove/Kent) adding to the squad and another forward. I'd probably be looking at centre half too, and someone with a bit more stature as a midfield option, perhaps the big French lad with the dreadlocks?

It's a pretty difficult one to choose. That starting 11 far from picks itself unlike the team at the end of last year.
Looking at your starting line up I'd go with Yaidom for Bree, I thought he was man of the match yesterday. He needs to learn that he can't mess around with the ball in dangerous positions but his movement was difficult for Everton to cope with. He got to the ball first on many occasions.
I'd start Scowen for Moncur. I think the place is his and Moncur should fight for it, or it is Scowen's to lose. He performed very well when he came on yesterday.
And I personally like Payne. A big fella to link up with Winnall or Bradshaw. Again, the place is probably Winnall's with Bradshaw needing to win a start.
All opinion based...In Hecky we trust.

Plenty of time time to get some loans in before the window shuts.

We have a plan...............that's what Hecky and Pat keep talking about.

I'm confident they will provide what we need to have a solid season and develop what we have so that they become better players

I saw loads to be optimistic about yesterday

I would play 4/5/1 with Yiadom replacing Bree with the ability to push on better. Scowen in the middle with Moncur switching between CM and CF, depending on the score.
