I've had one or two spats with him and to be honest....

he wasn't much of a challenge, he resorted to abuse, threats and profanities at the slightest inference that you didn't agree with his somewhat, dodgy views.

He knew sweet FA about football or more in particular Barnsley football and just came on this board to start a row with whoever could be arsed to take him on.

Having said all that, the place isn't the same without him.

guernsey pm'd his phone number to oscar and kept posting asking why he hadn't posted his own if he was so anxious to meet. Oscar then started saying he's been getting silent phone calls even tho Guernsey was adamant oscar hadn't even posted his phone number.

guernsey dunt seem the type to silent phone call so maybe they never happened?

ignore him if you choose but he has the right to post on here as much as you or me. whether he should legally have that right is another issue but the fact remains that he does have it and it isnt up to us to decide who does and doesnt post.

Wait till the new version of the BBS appears, you'll be able to ignore people in the same way that you can block them on msn etc.

He is a big guy, but a friendly one at that. By giving oscar his address he was standing up to him, showing him he wasn't scared.

He'd meet you and knock you into the next century but he wouldnt hide behind a silent phonecall.

the BBS software that the site uses is being upgraded by the company that produces it. In the new version amongst other things there is an option to ignore people. It is just a guess that when it is released then site admin will probably upgrade to the latest version.

Not sure how that would work. If you block one person out the rest of the thread isn't going to make any sense is it?

As for TT returning I reckon the reaction could shut this board the same way as it did the other. Not that he or his supporters care.

I think the difference would be that he is now just another poster with no power whereas before he was still in a way trying to lead everyone when nobody respected him.

anyway the ignore facility generally (on other forum software) would still show the ignored persons post so you know it is there but would just say "you have chosen to ignore this user" or words to that effect. on some you can then click a button to show just that one post of theirs or another to unignore them completely.
if you're a member of the money saving forum then try it out on there and you'll see how it works

Personally, I found both oscar and his mate binredfan the biggest bores on this board. An opinion is one thing, but continually harping on about it, gets somewhat tedious.

I never understood the animosity towards Osama Bin Redfan. He seemed like a decent bloke, not at all like Oscar.
