To me if someone writes something on here and it's shocking spelling and grammar etc. it does tend to influence my opinion of the point that they are trying to make.

I admit to being a bit of a spelling Nazi but equally I am not perfect either - I try and check what I write before posting.

My pet hates: 'definately', 'lightening', 'alot'... and spelling player's/ manager's names constantly wrong, especially ours!

    Just saying.

Yes Sharon we know you are just saying that’s why you’ve typed out an illiterate sentence on Facebook in capitals. I’m sure if Chelsea had stolen your boyfriend and bottle of lambrini Chardonnay will inform you soonest.

On here? I don't really care. Posting on here is just something people do in their spare time to unwind. I'd like it to be legible but I know people are tired after probably working all day and mistakes can easily creep in. On output from multimillion pound companies? It should be spot on. In fact, I think it should be perfect on any company's output. Even if I get a flyer from a cleaning or gardening company through the door it should have been checked and rechecked before printing and sending. I know it doesn't impact on how well they can hoover or cut grass for example but I would never consider hiring someone who is willing to leave in sloppy mistakes that should be checked. To me, it reflects on their whole business and shows they have no pride in their work.

As long as tha can understand WOT THERE ON ABART wot difference does it mek = on r they spell it, or say it. MAYBE its PEOPLES own insecurities that meks them so easy to CRITICIZE. Some one like misen who's been DYSLEXIC and suffered from DYSLEXIA for 55 yrs I GET BY, I struggled at school, I WAS BULLIED. I'm not the brightest bulb in the house, but believe me your OPINIONS count, but so does HIS or HERS, weather its spelt or said, REIGHT or WRONG

For example, I think the adverb "properly" is too far from the word "use", so I would say,

"You should at least try to use properly the language you're communicating in."

Of course, you'll have noticed this ends the sentence with a preposition. So we need to alter it to

"You should at least try to use properly the language in which you're communicating".

I think the sentence construction matters and the use of the right word, spelling is different - I struggle with spelling despite having read hundreds of books and obtained a good degree - yet I’m not dyslexic. If you say “I won you” at something then I’m sorry it’s just not English end of.
