    Collective nouns take singular verbs - e.g.

    It should be 'the team IS.......' not 'the team 'ARE...….'.

    Nothing wrong with "get a cheeseburger" except for the fact that "cheeseburger" should not be capitalized. It's not a proper noun. To "have" a cheeseburger, and to "get" a cheeseburger have different meanings. The latter implies that you have gone somewhere with the explicit intention of procuring said burger, rather than the simple possession of one.

    In everyday speech, they are pretty much inter-changeable. Usage is the key, not rules...
