RE: I'm not bothered Having a day off today mate? thought you'd be busy opticianing (sorry)? I do actually give them a rest ususally when I put a new pair in I leave them out during the evening and through the night. My optician only recommended I got a pair of glasses he didn't say that I had to have a pair. Well you live and learn, Anyway how longs this bloody eye going to be like this for - Using Infected eyes with antibiotics, yesterday it was hard to look at lights got a real headache.
RE: I'm not bothered is it true that giving the old python a chinese burn too much can lead to blindness?
RE: I'm not bothered Your eye might be a week or so before you're totally clear.
If you're giving yourself a couple of hours off a day then that's probably okay - without knowing what lens material/wear schedule etc.
It's not anywhere in GOC rules that you have to have a pair of specs, it's just good practice imho for occasions such as this and for the long term health of your eyes. You'll want to wear lenses for a few years yet I imagine so just don't overwear them. If you're getting your contacts checked every 12 months and your opticians happy then you'll be fine.

I got pinkeye last year Was off work for a week it was that bad. I could hardly open my eyes (it felt like grit in there) and I looked like the devil. Didn't realise it was could be that bad. Ever since, as soon as I get tired, my eyes start stinging and smarting.
