If I see Victor “baring down” on the keeper he might be covering his eyes so it would be a certain goal surely!!

Burnley released him, albeit from their academy, before he went to Bury.

Was just a response to a post about 'why did [insert name of club] get rid' that often gets used as a criticism of players.

No doubt the lad is a trier and I’d love him to prove me wrong. Nothing personal against him but a championship striker he’s never going to be.
The fact he’s even getting a game right now says volumes for our recruitment this summer.

To be fair at Ipswich Keifer Moore was the biggest donkey on earth on the Ipswich forums.
The only person that rated him was Macca.
Well we all know how that ended up.
I bet the Ipswich fans still wished they still had them both.
    Sometimes patience is worth it.
I hope the Belgium strikers can both come good.
On reflection we have given Vic 70 odd games on the field to prove it.
I can see a striker in Iseka, let's hope his mate can get on the pitch and give us a bit of hope.
Because at the minute we can't see anything up front setting us all on fire .

Turning into a broken record, but two central strikers and an extra midfielder must be better than what we're doing now.

If he lines up with a 3-4-3 again, I'm assuming he wants out himself.

The only thing I'd say about the Oulare situation is that, given we already had Morris as a main striker with a record of being injury prone, it was a bit of a risk to sign someone even more so.
Hopefully Oulare goes on to join Carlton as one of my favourite players and they both stay fit.

Perhaps it does. And perhaps I know nothing about football. But singling him out for criticism, given the performances we are enduring from certain of his team mates, seems to me to be either bizarre or purely malevolent. Same is happening on FB though, so there's a lot of it about.

I think there's little to no vitriol aganst Victor on here. Certainly not from me. I like his attitude. Nevertheless this is a BFC forum at a time when we are desperately failing to score goals. It's both understandable and inevitable that the attributes of all our strikers will be discussed. If they can't be there's little point in having a forum at all. Again, the above is said with the proviso that there's no need for abuse or ridicule of Victor or anyone else. As far as I'm aware they're all doing their best.

In terms of abuse, I witnessed it first-hand on Tuesday night, although I'm pretty sure it was motivated by racism, because the lad hadn't actually got onto the pitch before this moron started ranting. He also screamed a derogatory comment when the players took the knee, so that provides a clue. Having said that, I've been going to Oakwell long enough to know that specific players have always attracted malice. In my case, the first was Allen Bradbury, then Kenny Brown, even Ian Banks to some extent. And many more. Pretty sad really.

I was talking specifically about on here. In terms of at the ground I'm well aware of the disappointing number of racists, abusers and downright nasty pieces of work who will pick on players for a variety of unfathomable reasons.

Styles came up through the youth system at Burnley and they released him for some inextricable reason, Bury signed him as soon as they got word.

I have the feeling that we knew that when he was signed. Isn't there something in the agreement with his previous club that they would only receive any cash for him if were sold on by us, but no transfer fee was involved. Is he on a pay-as-you-play deal? I don't think so. He did say that he had brought his family over, so he obviously wants it to work out for him. If he isn't going to play, we certainly need to replace him like-for-like in the January window. Big, tall, muscular centre-forward. What happened to the other former Watford striker we were after?

I thought players had to have a medical before they signed , are you therefore accusing him of conning a qualified doctor because that is a fair old accusation .
