And that fantastic summary explains perfectly just why I'll always say Naylor when asked who was our worst loanee. I was only 20 at the time, but I could have tore the heads off a number of our 'players' that season, but Naylor would have been my first victim. lovely person.
Extraordinarily harsh on Arismendi. He was very poor towards the end but made some useful contributions early on in his loan spell - nowhere near as bad as some of the other dross mentioned in this thread.
Arismendi - one of my favourite memories was him slotting the ball IN against Leeds at Oakwell in the 5-2 drubbing
As I'm quite young, my selection was based on players I've seen whilst I've had a season ticket. I thought he was awful. His only contribution worthy of note was his goal against Leeds Utd (a cracker it was too tbf). The £2,400,000 he cost Stoke must make him one of the most overpriced players in the history of football. The partnership he struck with Colace just didn't work for me and yet Robins stubbornly stuck with it week after week. I can only imagine that we were somehow contractually obliged to play him.
