Some of the stuff must have been there for over 10 years.

One of the problems is that they have to plaster Toby Tyke over everything. But TT only really appeals to kids when its blown up to the size of a tennis ball.
I'd like to see some more subtle bfc designs, like what **** have done, but not sure if bFCUK will sell as well though

    Did anything happen about this?

Not been in the club shop for months, would be nice to see some decent gear in there.

was in the club shop yesterday and not all lines gad the tobytyke logo on.

there were some goods quality lotto polo shirts with the barnsley crest on. Other items they are trialling have the old oakwell logo on, which looks good.

I do not think the online site shows all the latest items, some of which look very good

Also everytime I go in, there are always people spending money, so it cannot be all bad!!

It's bad enough without it being highlighted on national tv!

RE: even more normal supertyke exagerates again

What a load of ****** to say 99% of barnsley fans say club shop is *****.
You have no evidence for such a stupid statement, except it allows you to have another dig at the club you are supposed to support

Owen , even tho` Supertyke does go overboard at times, on this he is correct.

The shop is piss poor, just because some people are buying there, it does not mean it is good.
Imagine how many would buy from there bif it was good stuff, not like it is mostly tat. I agree there is a few decent things in but the crap far out weighs the good.
I have never seen the sense of only selling the shirt in the club shop, you can buy even a Wednesday shirt in the town centre, yet you have to go out of you way to get a Barnsley shirt IN BARNSLEY FFS!
Even if we only get a smaller cut of the money , it surely brings BFC to peoples minds when they are browsing the shirts in JJB etc.

    We did approach the club

We got some samples printed, a catalogue done and went down to see em. First time we went down only the young lad in the shop was there so he couldn't really do owt, he did say 'they're loads better than the ***** we sell' which we found hilarious. The bloke that does all the ordering and stock got back to us a week later saying he liked the designs and had seen them before on people, he was going to meet up with the powers that be down Oakwell and get back to us, that was a couple of months ago and we've not heard owt.

it is, the entire range lacks a professional touch. From what I saw, the last time I went in, the stock was ordered ad hoc from the manufactuer's catalouge and had the logos sewn in rather than taken from proper samples and some time spent on sourcing the right goods and the right stock for th correct margin compared to the low cosy high margin goods currently in stock.

    I've given them the opportunity

I'm not too bothered if they don't get back to us, i thought they'd snap them up and flog a load but obviously they aren't that bothered making some coin. We could have designed a load more stuff for them too.

Maybe one of them will see this thread, infact, of course one of em will see this thread they read this BBS more than me.

come on then oh knowledgable one

what percentage of barnsley fans do you think are of the opinion that the club shop sells a big enough range of good quality stuff at a reasonable price? I can say hand on heart that until reading your post i had NEVER heard anyone express that opinion. Apart from Gordon Shepherd.

You need to stop using this place as the source of your public opinion.

It's mainly populated by people like you which I don't think counts.

At the end me the day PC has already said the marketing\merchandise is on the back burner until funds can be invested. Do you think if more stuff was in the shop you'd see Barnsley flooded with official merchandise?

Most people want a decent polo shirt\tracksuit\team wear which they sell. And people do buy them.

Or so 99% people I speak to do anyway.
