    It was alright in the end

    The more beers I drunk the better it got.

    They missed a trick for the finale though. The stadium falls in to darkness, one spotlight picks out a figure moving bizarrely, it's John Cleese doing his ministry of silly walks, he makes his way to the centre of the arena, he clears his throat and says "Now **** off home".

    Cringetastic! As good as the Opening ceremony was, that was the exact opposite. Terrible....Kaiser Chiefs doing the Who, Ed whatsisname doing Pink Floyd, Russell Brand!?!?!?, although only the Gallagher tw@t made me reach for the remote to press mute.

    Best part was the flame going out with the background of John Barry's theme from Dances With Wolves.
